REDUCE - RECYCLE - REUSE
I started The Printable Craft Shop with more
environmentally friendly papercrafting in mind...
When I had my 'bricks and mortar' shop I'd look at all those luxuriously thick papers, fancy cards, embellishments and adhesives and wonder what effect the papercraft industry has on the environment.
It played a big part in my interest in downloadable craft supplies...we can print our own papers when we need, and on recycled card or inkjet paper, leaving the 'big boys' to concentrate on what we cannot produce ourselves like textured papers, foils and all the tools of the trade.
Recycled card on eBay...
Since then, everyone is getting far more 'eco-friendly' than even just a few years ago and Crafters are well known for not throwing anything away, as well as being inventive with their stash...so I thought we could have a group dedicated to being frugal.
So, if you have any tips or tricks about how to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle for card making, tell us here!
Recycle Christmas Cards...
...Rethink and Remake!
And on that note, Anni Lipsanen created this eBook and craft template set packed with wonderful, colourful ideas for recycling cards into new cards and crafts - massive template collection!

Comment by Natasha Thumwood on January 27, 2012 at 17:29 Hi Everyone, being quite frugal with my crafting due to budget i thougth this group would be great to join. I reuse what I can from bows and embellishments on clothing to magazines and papers, even old and broken jewelery for the beads and gems. Even odd earrings no longer get thrown out. They get thoroughly cleaned and used for flower centres or as a brad!!!
