PSP Fans Unite!

I'm a big Paint Shop Pro fan because it's more user friendly, and cheaper, than the other popular editing/graphics packages used by designers and crafters.

It's not 'just' photo editing software - crafters and designers use Paint Shop Pro to create and design amazing graphics, cards and printable background papers etc. and there's a whole host of digital craft supplies that you can use with it too.

30 Day free trial of the Software if you want to have a play and check out eBay for some bargains...

So, lets gather our own stash of PSP info right here and indulge!

Hi, I bought X3 before Christmas and wish I had read about the problems with it first. It still has to have a lot done in the way of patching. It took an absolute age to load and then when you got an image up, if you tried to do anything with it, it just froze up completely.  Stick with what you already have, if it aint broke, don't try and fix it, well not until Corel have sorted this one out.

I have X2 and am happy with it most of the time. It does tend to lock up quite a bit though :(

Some commands SEEM to be gone, but they are just hidden. If you are looking for a particular tool/effect, and you cannot find it, check undeer View > Customize and under the Commands tab scroll down to All commands, and then on the right, you will see them all. When you find the one you want, click on it and drag it on your menu bar (or wherever) and it will stay there.

In the corel newsgroup, they complain a lot about bugs in version X3, that are not yet patched. Apparently, many outside filters dont work well. I still use PSP9 and i find it the most stable (although i have all versions, 8 to X3 installed)

I tried the PSPX3 and didn't see a lot of difference other than you can edit text more easily. They have changed some of the menu commands so you have to get used to that. You can try the 30 trial at corel.com.
