I was just scrolling through my Picasa files and saw a heap of pics just begging to be made into patterns...but they need tracing in pencil first (as opposed to the patterns I have already traced and needed people to try out)
Then the idea was born...if you do the tracing, picking out a pattern from the image supplied, then you can be credited for designing it...which led me to think we could put an eBook together!? It could be given away as a collaborative freebie, by anyone who contributes?
Just something to try? If it was any good, we could maybe do something for sale?
What do you think?

@Mary - excellent point for anyone to bear in mind.
Personally, I only use images that are in the Public Domain (i.e. out of copyright, anyone can use them).
So the images I'm referring to are from antique books. In future I may use other images I'm entitled to use, such as if I have a commercial license to produce derivative works or items with a 'Creative Commons' license.
Yes, it is very much a minefield.
I'll post further info on this later, but for now anyone interested can check this out...
OK I've uploaded some example images (see slideshow in original post which take you over to Picasa WebAlbums)
If there's one you'd like to have a go at picking a pattern out of, leave a comment to say you will do it or just leave some ideas or suggestions for others.
They can be traced as big as you like, because we can scale them down to fit a normal size parchment card when they go into the eBook.
Oh, and if you have any instructions for particular areas please supply them too - e.g. indicate where embossing might be or perforating etc. But only if you want to add this, otherwise just pick out a pattern and trace.
When you've done it, scan your tracing and upload here using the white icon 'upload a file' NOT the camera 'add an image'.
I found a bit more information about Moo cards:
A Moo is a little card with the size of 2,8 x 7 centimeters or approximately 1,1 x 2,8 inches.
You can basically do anything with it. They look very effective as decorations on other cards.
Well ladies, I am so excited awaiting my ATC's and cards - Janet, I think it's great that we know who we are sending them to, but don't know who we are getting them from - ooooh the anticipation!
Hi Margaret,
