NOT HAPPY - Deleted Kids Photos :-(
After tonight's scrapbooking lesson I thought I'd go dig out some pics to have a go with.
Opened up Picasa...pics not there.
I re-organised all my 'family' pics last month...or so I thought - forgetting that Picasa only 'virtually' organises stuff. So, I probably deleted my pics thinking I'd moved them to my new folder!
Then, being a good girl, I cleaned up my PC ...so I can't even restore them from the Recycle Bin because that got emptied as part of the cleanup. I have an online backup thing...but my external drive isn't included. Idiot.
Baby pics, gone. Christmas pics, gone. Pics with my mum on, gone.
I have very few memories of my eldest daughter as a baby thanks to Post Natal Depression...now I've got bugger all.
Not happy.

Oh Adele, thats just terrible! Oh I don't know what to say......I completely know what you mean when you say that Post Natal Depression effects the memories you have. I spent nearly 4 years in "the fog" as I put it. I live in fear of this sort of thing happening....I have about four different backups of my photos and I still worry about loosing them. Do you have family who may be able to give you copies of photos you have lost...or even new treasures? I believe there are companies that can recover files even after they have been deleted, maybe it would be worth giving someone in the know a call....you never know. Fingers crossed for you......I must say this an extreme excuse for not doing your scrapping homework! It beats " the dog ate my homework". Hugs
